Food for Thought

Today I was surfing the internet to get the low down on food labeling and what it all means.  Now I’ve done this many times and will continue to do so because we’ re living in some very scary times and many things aren’t what they appear to be.  You see, deception is everywhere, and Satan wants to deceive us.  In order to live happy, healthy productive lives we need to wise up and understand that “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

Okay, back to food labeling. I look up the meaning on food labels because I like to provide value to my clients, so I looked up what 100% Natural meant.  Well, to my horror and hopefully to yours Natural could mean many things just like now days the word Christian or believer means many things to many people.

NaturalFood labeled "natural," according to the USDA definition, does not contain artificial ingredients or preservatives and the ingredients are only minimally processed. However, they may contain antibiotics, growth hormones, and other similar chemicals.

Wow, so you mean when a label says natural, there’s a possibility that it’s been processed, GMO and could no longer be a product of the earth? In other words, there’s a possibility it was produced in a Petri dish.  Boy or boy this is really scary.

Good health was our birth right from the very beginning dating back to Adam and Eve, but unfortunately due to the fall of man we lost that right.

Man was originally endowed with noble powers and a well-balanced mind.  He was perfect in his being and in harmony with God.  His thoughts were pure, his aims holy.  But through disobedience, his powers were perverted and selfishness took the place of love.  His nature became so weakened through transgression that it was impossible for him, in his own strength, to resist the power of evil.  He was made captive by Satan, and would have remained so forever had not God specially interposed.  Source:  Steps To Christ.

If I didn’t know the above to be true I would have given up long ago.  But because I know God will put an end to greed, corruption, pain and woe, I have hope that one day soon I will never have to read a food label, visit the doctor’s office, the cemetery or experience the death of loved ones.  Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  Will you allow Him to find you?
